Hey, everybody, tis la :) I know I haven't been around the BTTS community much lately, but, well, here I am ^^' Sorry, tis late. Anyway! In a burst of creative energy born from receiving my slinkster German copies of His Dark Materials, I made some icons. They are pretty ok, considering I don't know how to work the computer and all I have is paint. Tell me what you think, please!
(not bothering to do a cut, there are only four and they are small images)

1.

2.

3.

4.

base for icon #1 I found on google images, base for icon #3 is cut out of that big picture of our man Phil and Eoin Colfer, and the base for icon #4 is from the banner at BTTS :)

The first two are my favourite. You might want to make the text in the third a little more noticable, because it doesn't really stand out.

Great stuff. *thumbs up*

Those are neat :) We'll probably add a section to the site soon with images that people can use for avatars or AIM icons, so if you don't mind, could we use those to start with?

I absolutely loved number two, but found the back text a little hard to read, so I played with it. I hope you don't mind, but it was just so brilliant, I had to play... :D
Anyway, here's what I came up with:

If anyone wants to snatch it, it's cool.

wow

o.o

it's like how I wanted it to look, but couldn't manage because of my complete and utter lack of skill. I think I will steal that one :P

I cheated. I have slightly fancier programs. :D
Microsoft GIF Animator is a fairly simple program that works well with Paint, though, if you want to give that a try. It doesn't do much aside from letting you animate GIF images and make the backgrounds disappear, but it's fun to play with.

*chuckles* I guess this is one of those 'to each their own' things, 'cause that's kinda the exact opposite of the way I felt. Or maybe I'm just tacky. (any of my friends would claim the latter!) :D

Do any of you have opinions on the Daemon debate?

O.k., I have been away in Europe (I am in a hostel in London and I am using thier internet.) and have had positivly NO computer acess. BUT, I went to OXFORD!!!! I happened to have been in the same book shop, at the same time, (but didn't get to meet him) as PHILIP PULLMAN!!!!!!! It was Blackwell's, and he pops in often, or at least thats what the woman at the counter said. The last thing is, do you think the 1st movie will be The Northern Lights, OR The Golden Compass?

Still keen on knowing your daemon opinions,
A friend :)
